Guess what!

Rapunzel: So mother, earlier I was saying tomorrow is a really big day, and you didn't really respond,
so I'm just gonna tell you: IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! Tada!

Mother Gothel: No no no, can't be. I distinctly remember, your birthday was last year.
Rapunzel: That's the funny thing about birthdays, they're kind of an annual thing.

yup.  i turn 18 tomorrow.  i really want to see the floating lights... please?

I am a Princess.

'I am a princess.
All girls are.
Even if they live in tiny old attics.
Even if they dress in rags.
Even if they aren't pretty,
or smart,
or young.
They're still princesses.
All of us.'

"It's snowing still," said Eeyore gloomily.
"So it is."
"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little,
"we haven't had an earthquake lately."

Francesca Battistelli - Beautiful, Beautiful

Don't know how it is You looked at me
And saw the person that I could be
Awakening my heart, breaking through the dark
Suddenly Your grace

Like sunlight burning at midnight
Making my life something so beautiful, beautiful
Mercy reaching to save me, all that I need
You are so beautiful, beautiful

Now there's a joy inside I can't contain
But even perfect days can end in rain
And though it's pouring down, I see You through the clouds
Shining on my face

Like sunlight burning at midnight
Making my life something so beautiful, beautiful
Mercy reaching to save me, all that I need
You are so beautiful, beautiful

I have come undone
But I have just begun
Changing by Your grace

Like sunlight burning at midnight
Making my life something so beautiful, beautiful
Mercy reaching to save me, all that I need
You are so beautiful

Like sunlight burning at midnight
Making my life something so beautiful, beautiful
Mercy reaching to save me, all that I need
You are so beautiful, beautiful

Beautiful, beautiful

This is my favourite song on Francesca Battistelli's
album, My Paper Heart.

My new favourite quote

"If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred
minus one day so I never have to live without you."
— A.A. Milne

I might as well tell you that I am in love with Winnie-the-Pooh
quotes at the moment, and you will suffer th effects of it...
being in the form of many posts with Pooh in them.  :)  Sorry!

~BushMaid's competition~

Just so you know, the competition hosted by BushMaid
is over and has been judged... you can read the winning
stories here, here and the third will be coming soon. :)
Congratulations, guys!  The stories were awesome...
you didn't make the judging easy!
(We agonized over it.)

~a photo shoot~

A few weeks ago I went to stay with a very dear friend for a week.
We had so much fun, and amongst all our busyness we managed
a photo shoot.  Very exciting.
'The Jasmine Flower' is an excellent model. :D
I had so much fun photographing her!
Thank you for being so patient with me, Jas!
I know that it can't have been easy...

Jas took these photos of yours truly for the benefit of
you lovely peoples. :)

(I have had many complaints as to the lack of
photos I post of myself due to the fact that I am always
behind the camera... Happy now? :)

But I'll just mention that I can't pose to save my life...

 Bare feet.

I love the focus in this one :)

I love this picture of Jas!

She has a beautiful smile...

Thank you for such a lovely visit Jas,
and for being such a wonderful friend!
I love you!

"How lucky I am to have someone that makes saying goodbye so hard."

Bethany Dillon - Reach Out

No one knows what is hurting inside me
But I feel it in every breath
So many have promised to heal me
Till my money and hope was spent
I am hiding in this crowd
He may be just beyond my grasp

But if I just reach out....
If I just reach out....
Just for a moment....
Could everything change....
If I just reach out....
If I just reach out....
For the hem of His garment....
Could everything change....

Worry is the water rising
And it's flooding up to my neck
ve nothing to lose, but can I believe
These broken years are in my past
Then eyes like fire and warm like the breeze
Turn and meet mine

I feel like something has changed....
I feel like something has changed....
I know I felt something change....

I just reached out....
I just reached out....
Just for a moment....
And everything changed....
I reached out....
I just reached out....
For the hem of His garment....
And everything changed....

~*at long last*~

Ok.
There is a reason why I haven't created a proper post in so long...

...and this one has been a long time in the making.

Mum, my six sisters and I jumped on a plane and went for a holiday to
visit our family and friends whom the girls haven't seen for four years!
(phew! that is one long sentence)
We were gone for a month, and we had a lovely time,
although we missed Dad and James a lot.  :)

We stayed with my Mum's sister Renee and her family
while we were away.  They were great...
it can't be easy having eight people stay for a whole month. :P

We stayed with our Grandparents for a few days,
and we had a great time playing with clay,
painting, making beads
 and playing 'Piggy-in-the-middle'.
Great game, that.

We went to Aussie World,
which was truly marvelous according to Beth.
And it was.

Chloe having a quiet moment.

Katie and Chloe celebrated their 9th and 2nd birthdays
while we were away.

Happy Birthday, girls!

All the kids on Dad's side of the family.
Well, not all.  Most of them.

We went to a family BBQ at our Uncle and Aunts'
house, and were able to catch up with all our
family on Dad's side.  It was great fun!
They have the most awesome flying-fox.

Chloe discovered at Grandma's house that she enjoys dress-ups.
Particularly necklaces and feather boas.

We went swimming... in winter.
We definitely have acclimatized to Tasmanian weather,
to actually go swimming
Everyone thought we were mad.

Most of Mum's family.  There's a few of us!?

And we had another BBQ with Mum's family at Aunty Nae
and Uncle Barry's house.  I couldn't believe how much the
kids had grown!  Oh, we had a lovely time.

And that is all I'm going to say,
because it is really hard creating a post that makes
sense when you do it randomly over several weeks.
...did it make sense?
